Tropical Variety

5. 초록 : To understand complex geometry in relation to p-adic geometry, tropical varieties with combinatorial nature have been introduced. We can also define Hodge structures on these combinatorial geometries and they are widely used in many subjects including mirror symmetry.
In this introductory talk, we will explain the basic concepts and the current research directions(if time permits) with no prerequisite.
This tropical concept is the main theme and methods for the works by Prof. June Huh for his Fields medal.
