5. 초록 : Mathematicians love counting. How many groups of order 9 are there? How about 3125? How many subrings of the ring of integers Z of index 5 are there? In this talk, I will show various interesting counting problems in algebra, and discuss how number theory and combinatorics can help understanding these problems. In particular, I will introduce the zeta functions of groups, rings, and other algebraic objects, a comparatively young area of study bridging algebra, number theory, combinatorics, and more.
